Plattsburgh, NY: We seek a skilled ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON to join a progressive 300-bed community hospital on a plush 45-acre campus, complete with ponds and walking paths. This medical center has over 160 physicians serving 170,000 area residents. Healthgrades lists them as a Top 100 Hospital for Cardiac Care. In addition to hosting a Family Medicine Residency, Emergency Medicine residents and medical students complete clinical rotations here.You are invited to join an active team of 4 orthopedic surgeons and 5 PAs in a setting where you can develop a subspecialty for up to 50% of your time while supporting the group with general orthopedics (25%) and trauma surgery (25%). Candidates with interests in sports medicine, hand surgery, hip/knee and/or upper extremity surgery will receive priority consideration.Practice in a collaborative environment and enjoy operating in a state-of-the-art complex that includes a 14-bed critical care unit and 9 spacious, well-equipped ORs. You will have access to the latest technology, and an ambulatory surgery center with 4 ORs and 4 Endoscopy suites. This is a Level III trauma center affiliated with the University of Vermont (a Level I trauma center 1 hour to the east). You will rotate occasionally to a 76-bed affiliate hospital located 1 hour to the west.You will have a convenient 4 day/week schedule. Call is shared 1:5. MDs and DOs are equally welcome here.
