Lewiston, Maine: We seek a confident Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a rapidly growing community health center in Maines second largest city, just 40 MINUTES FROM PORTLAND. This established nonprofit offers integrated Medical, Dental and Behavioral Health across 10 points of service in the twin cities. They are ready to add another skilled provider to the outpatient primary care team in their largest medical practice, in the heart of Lewiston.Join an independent mission-driven organization offering a comprehensive range of services with a focus on patient-centered care. This practice leads the state in health advocacy for new Mainers, refugees and asylees. They specialize in high-quality, accessible and affordable care for low-income and high-risk residents of all ages. Since they care for a diverse patient population, practitioners with foreign language skills are encouraged to apply. This is not required, as translators are available. With a list of patients waiting to be seen, you will build your own panel very quickly. You will have a convenient 4 day/week schedule (40 hours) with an interesting practice that sometimes includes issues not typically seen in New England. You will have some complex patients, and others that have not had medical care in several years, if ever.
