Practice in one of Americas Top Rural Hospitals, designated by the Leapfrog Group for exemplary performance across multiple safety and quality measures.Physicians needing J1 or H1b visa support are encouraged to apply.This is an important full-scope role to replace a retiring pediatrician. Join fellow doctors and Pediatric NPs in a well-established, hospital-owned rural health center right on the hospital campus. You will enjoy a convenient 4 day/week schedule, with plenty of paid time off, making for a wonderful lifestyle.This is a mostly outpatient position. This medical center sees about 130 deliveries annually, about 1/3 of which were C-sections. Of those, only 10 were performed outside of business hours. Call is shared on a 1:3 basis and is typically for the newborn nursery or to attend unscheduled C-sections (attendance is not required for most vaginal births). Serious pediatric cases are transferred to the nearest tertiary medical center (only happened 5 times last year) so there are few inpatient pediatric patients (usually fewer than 10/year).You will be employed by the hospital and earn a very competitive salary plus benefits including a cash signing bonus, paid relocation assistance, paid liability insurance, and health, dental, vision and life insurance. Excellent incentive bonuses are available based on your productivity. You will enjoy 4 weeks of paid vacation time, two weeks of paid leave plus a budget for your CME, plus paid sick days and paid holidays too. Assistance with student loan debt is also available.Houlton sits on Maines eastern border with New Brunswick, Canada.
